'By 28 I'll have done everything I want in boxing': Amir Khan's plans to retire in three years

Amir Khan has revealed his plans to retire from boxing at the age of 28.
That means the two-time world champion will be hanging up his gloves in just three years.
The 25-year-old showed his softer side in a new photoshoot for Esquire magazine, looking dapper in  a series of poses.

The newly-engaged boxer spoke about his thirst to become world champion again.
'I’m not even at my peak yet. I’m already a two-time world champion, winning it again is not a problem.'
But he added: 'By 28 I’ll have done everything I want in boxing and I can sit back, chill and get fat.'

But despite being a tough boxer, Amir admitted he was scared of bugs.

He said: 'I don’t like spiders. If I see one in my bedroom I have to call my whole family and , even when they do take it out, I won’t sleep in that room for a couple of days or I’ll sleep at my parents.'
The boxer became engaged to 20-year-old New York student Faryal Makhdoom last month.
The couple made it official by exchanging rings in front of 1,000 of their nearest and dearest at a lavish engagement party.
They celebrated with a £150,000 bash at the Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium.
Friends including Ricky Hatton watched as Amir presented his wife-to-be with a £100,000 platinum ring encrusted with three staggering diamonds.
In return, beautiful Faryal gave her beau with an equally bling platinum ring.
Despite his sporting success, Amir told Esquire he wouldn't want his children taking up the sport.
'They can train, but I wouldn’t want them to go into a fight. I don’t know how my parents do it and, actually, my mum can’t do it anymore. My kids can be football players instead.'

Two Types of Oceans that Do not Mix up

This is the place where two oceans meet... but do not mix!
INCREDIBLE AND SIMPLY MIND-BLOWING!!!

These two bodies of water were merging in the middle of The Gulf of Alaska and there was a foam developing only at their junction. It is a result of the melting glaciers being composed of fresh water and the ocean has a higher percentage of salt causing the two bodies of water to have different densities and therefore makes it more difficult to mix.

Saif Ali Khan in trouble for assaulting South African

saif ali khan photo 200x175

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was in trouble Wednesday after a South African businessman accused him of abusing and hitting him and his father-in-law at a five-star hotel here.
Police, who failed to trace Saif at his Bandra house Wednesday afternoon, later found him at his actress-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor’s residence, a police officer said.
Police said a case of assault had been registered against the Bollywood actor at the Colaba police station.
Despite speculation that Saif would be brought to the police station, nothing happened for hours. Meanwhile, army of reporters assembled outside the police station and some even parked themselves outside Saif’s residence.
The victim, Iqbal Sharma, who is of Indian origin, told TimesNow television that Saif called him an “idiot” for complaining about the actor’s loud conduct at a restaurant in the Taj Mahal Hotel.
Sharma said he and his family had requested the restaurant manager to ask Saif and his friends, which included Kareena, Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora Khan, to keep their voices down.
Sharma said he and his family decided to move to another part of the restaurant downstairs.
“As we were going down the stairs, Saif was coming up, probably from the toilet. As he passed me, he called me an idiot and asked ‘Do you know who I am?’”
Sharma said the actor first pushed him and then assaulted his father-in-law who fell on the stairs and bruised his jaw.
“It was an uncivilized way to behave in a public space,” Sharma said, adding that he intended to pursue the matter legally.
A police officer confirmed that Sharma and his guests had objected to the noise created by Saif and his friends.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight Tuesday.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Iqbal Shaikh declined to say if the actor would be arrested.
Saif has been involved in public spats earlier too, including some photojournalists in Patiala in September 2008.
The actor has won the Padma Shri award, which did not go down well with the Bishnoi community in Rajasthan as he is accused of killing a blackbuck — an animal the Bishnois hold sacred. Saif was charged with poaching as the blackbuck is on the endangered list.

Larry Ellison and Bob Oats were working on a consulting project for the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). The code name for the project was called
Oracle (the CIA saw this as the system to give answers to all questions or something such). The project was designed to help use the newly written SQL code by IBM. The project eventually was terminated but Larry and Bob decided to finish what they started and bring it to the world. They kept the name Oracle and created the RDBMS engine. Later they kept the same name for the company.

SONY
It originated from the Latin word 'sonus' meaning sound, and 'sonny' a slang used by Americans to refer to a bright youngster.

Smallest Petrol Engine

Scientists have built the smallest petrol engine, tiny enough to power a watch. The mini-motor, which runs for two years on a single squirt of lighter fuel, is set to revolutionize world technology. It produces 700 times more energy than a conventional battery despite being less than a centimeter long not even half an inch. It could be used to operate laptops and mobile phones for months doing away with the need for recharging. Experts believe it could be phasing out batteries in such items within just six years. The engine, minute enough to be balanced on a fingertip, has been produced by engineers at the University of Birmingham.

A cellphone That Runs on Coca-Cola

Designer Daizi Zheng brings us an interesting concept: A Nokia phone that runs on Coca-Cola. The designer has called it Nokia‘green’phone and it works generating electricity through carbohydrates such as the sugar contained in this and other similar drinks. It does not pollute because the end-product of the process is water and oxygen. And to top it all off, Daizi herself assures us that this completely biodegradable battery can last up to 3 and 4 times the normal life of lithium batteries.

Torres: I just can't seem to score

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres admits he has faced a constant struggle to find the back of the net following his £50million move to Stamford Bridge last January.
Torres: I just can't seem to score

Torres, once regarded as one of the most lethal strikers in the world, left Liverpool after three-and-a-half successful seasons to join Chelsea last year, where he infamously went 903 minutes without scoring a goal before finally finding the back of the net in a Barclays Premier League game against West Ham.
The Spaniard failed to score again for the rest of last season, and has only managed four goals in 28 games in the current campaign.
While Blues manager Andre Villas-Boas has regularly defended the player, insisting he weighs in with his fair share of assists, Torres admits he is desperate to make an impact for Chelsea in front of the sticks.
"To be honest, after one year I was expecting things to be better than they are now," Torres told ESPN. "On the pitch, it is a difficult time for Chelsea because we are not finding the results but we're changing things, like playing a different style and still we have a young team to do it.
"Personally I have to improve. In my time at Liverpool, there were games where I would not be playing well or I would be doing nothing but every time I touched the ball I scored.
"It's such a strange feeling now because I am feeling better than ever physically. I am not finding the chances and, when I do find the chances, I cannot score."
But despite having endured a difficult year, the Spain international insists his future lies firmly at Stamford Bridge.
"My present and my future are here," Torres added. "I have many things to do here and I want to do it because it's I wanted in every club I've been at, so that is not going to be different.
"It is a difficult situation because I am happy in my personal life. We really like the club and we're very happy here to be involved with the staff and the players."
Torres will get another chance to prove his worth to Villas-Boas on Saturday in Chelsea's FA Cup fifth round clash against Birmingham, especially after Villas-Boas confirmed Didier Drogba will not feature after only just returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast.

No more reality shows for me – Pooja Misra

pooja mishra 200x163

Pooja Misra grabbed attention for her weird getup and fights on the fifth season of controversial reality show “Bigg Boss”, but the media mileage notwithstanding, the VJ says she would not be part of any such shows in future.
“Thank you so much, no more reality shows for me after ‘Bigg Boss’. I am not really interested in doing reality shows again,” Pooja told IANS backstage after walking for designer Chandrani Siingh Fllora on the second day of ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW). She was sporting a red sari with sequence work on the border.
Pooja walked as a showstopper for Fllora, whose collection sought inspiration from clarity and hues of gemstone sapphire. The designer used heavy satin, georgette and silk in hues of blue and red with floral geometric embroidary. The collection included jackets, dresses and saris.
Pooja, a model and VJ, was infamous for her loud and aggressive behavior on the show and was, in fact, asked to leave the show. Later, she returned to “Bigg Boss 5″ as Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds’ interpretar. It was her second chance to salavage her image, but she ended up getting into fights again.
Ever since she has came out of the house, she has been flooded with offers from the small screen. In fact, she has signed a film also, but refuses to give credit to her stint on the reality show.
“To be very honest, I don’t consider ‘Bigg Boss’ as the turning point of my career. The movie that I have signed came to me before ‘Bigg Boss’. But yes, I have got a great fan following not only in India but also abroad, thanks to the show,” she said.
“I will always look back at the experience, thinking it was good fun while I lasted in it,” she added.
Meanwhile, Pooja is eagerly looking to the movie “Baaja Baja Dunga”.
“After ‘Bigg Boss’, I am busy preparing for a song in my upcoming film ‘Baaja Baja Dunga’ and we are shooting for it at the end of Feb or March,” she said.
“The song is getting recorded. It’s a climax item song and the whole movie would be marketed through that song. It would be definitely something that would be prominent and stand out.”
“I also have very interesting offers on television which I am looking at. Lots of good stuff is happening,” she added.

AC Milan 4-0 Arsenal

Arsenal's Champions League dreams were shattered by a humiliating 4-0 defeat to AC Milan in the first leg of their last 16 clash at the San Siro.

AC Milan 4-0 Arsenal

Kevin-Prince Boateng fired the Italians ahead on 15 minutes with a sublime strike, before two goals by former Manchester City frontman Robinho and a penalty from the impressive Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the tie beyond the Gunners.
Arsenal never really settled and were punished for some careless possession - and not even the introduction of former captain Thierry Henry in the final game of his loan spell from New York Red Bulls could spark a fairytale comeback.
The heaviest European away defeat for Arsenal will be a bitter pill to swallow, but Arsene Wenger must lift his squad again for what is now a crucial FA Cup fifth-round tie at Sunderland on Saturday ahead of the Premier League derby with Tottenham - when the Gunners will look to keep alive hopes of qualifying again for the Champions League with a top-four finish.
Milan had not won any of their previous seven matches against English clubs, knocked out of the Champions League at this stage by Tottenham last season.
However, the Serie A leaders never looked in danger of a repeat, well organised from kick-off as Arsenal struggled to get any sort of foothold, regardless of a poor San Siro pitch which had recently seen the turf relaid down the flanks.
Veteran Dutchman Clarence Seedorf - a European Cup winner with three different clubs - drilled a low effort into the side-netting, before going off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury - compatriot Urby Emanuelson replacing him.
Boateng fired the Italians ahead on the quarter-hour mark. The former Portsmouth and Tottenham midfielder collected a chip to the edge of the Arsenal penalty area on his chest, before turning to fire the ball over Wojciech Szczesny and in off the underside of the crossbar.
Van Persie's cut-back was blocked as the Gunners captain got clear down the left, before Laurent Koscielny's flicked header from a floated 25th minute free-kick was straight at Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati.
Arsenal, however, were soon again giving possession away far too easily, inviting the hosts on.
However, despite having plenty of the ball in the final third, AC Milan failed to carve out any real openings.
Thomas Vermaelen lost out to Robinho, who darted clear but then then failed to cross for Ibrahimovic - who was clear in the middle - as Koscielny made a saving block.
It was 2-0 in the 38th minute when Ibrahimovic charged down the left channel and squared for Robinho to nod in from six yards.
Two minutes before the break, Koscielny hobbled off and was replaced by Johan Djourou - and another change followed at the start of the second half as Theo Walcott was replaced by Henry.
However, before the World Cup winner had a chance to make an impact, Milan extended their lead.
Vermaelen slipped, which gave Robinho the space to shoot at the edge of the box, and the Brazilian - whose £32.5million transfer to City in 2008 shattered the British record fee - slammed home what looked to be a tie-clinching third goal in the 49th minute.
It was now a case of damage limitation for Arsenal - and it could have been worse but for a complete miskick by Luca Antonini when he was set free following another swift counter.
The value of an away goal, however, meant the tie would still be alive were the English side to fashion a meaningful opportunity of their own.
Abbiati produced a brilliant one-handed save to turn around van Persie's volley after a flick-on by Henry on 65 minutes.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaced Kieran Gibbs as Alex Song dropped into the back four.
However, any hopes of comeback were ended in the 78th minute when Djourou bundled over Ibrahimovic to concede a somewhat soft penalty, which the big Swede slotted into the bottom right corner, leaving Arsenal a mountain to climb in the return leg at Emirates Stadium on March 6.

THE WORLD'S YOUNGEST MOTHER

The worlds record for the youngest mother belongs to Lina Medina who was not yet six years old when she gave birth to her son Gerardo.

The family of Lina Medina believed that she had a tumor when they first took her to see doctors, that tumor turned out to be a healthy six pound baby boy she named Gerardo. Lina was born in Paurange, Peru and gave birth to her son at the age of 5 years, 7 months, and 21 days old. After the the baby was delivered Lina Medina returned home with Gerardo, now being raised as her younger brother. She showed little interest in the baby though, preferring dolls to playing with her son.

Puzzled doctors continued to study Lina Medina to find out how this could have happened. It was eventually discovered that she suffered from a hormone condition known as "Precocious Puberty" that caused extremely early development. She began menstruating regularly at the age of 8 months (some sources state 3 years).

For a time Lina's own father was held on a suspected charge of incest, until blood tests ruled him out. When questioned about the fathers identity, Lina was unable to give clear answers due to her young age, so nobody was ever charged. The identity of the father was never discovered.

Lina Medina is still alive today, and went on to live a relatively normal life. She still refuses to do media interviews. Her son Gerardo was killed in a motorcycle accident as a young adult.

FACTS ABOUT GOOGLE

The most popular search engine was invented by Sergey Brin and Larry Page in September, 1998. They named it Google, after Googol which means number 1 followed by 100 zeros. The name itself said about the amount of information that the search engine stored. It was in 1995 that Sergey Brin, a Soviet born computer scientist and Larry Page, an American computer scientist met at Stanford University as computer science graduates. By January’ 96 both started writing a program on a search engine Backrub which had the quality of back link analysis. After the success of this joint venture, they began their work at Google. They started with making of a server using obsolete, cheap and used PC’s. They spent all their money, took credits and looked for cheap hardware. They failed in finding finance to get Google licensed.

After a lot of improvement, when the demo for the same was given to Andy Bechtolsheim, the co founder of Sun Microsystems, he at once wrote a cheque for $ 1,00,000. In the same year Google opened its office in Menlo Park, California and Google.com was answering 10,000 queries everyday. In 2000 Google was released in ten more languages.

Amazing and interesting facts about Google say that people all round the globe send search requests to Google everyday, it got its name by spelling mistake from Googol to Google, it has the largest network of translators in the world, the homepage of Google is available in 88 languages and Google shares 33% of global English- language searches.
