Dilshan quits as Sri Lanka captain

The opener took the decision following this month's Test and limited-overs series defeats to South Africa.

Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement that Dilshan has informed the selection committee of his decision.

A new captain is yet to be chosen, but star batsman Mahela Jayawardene is understood to be taking charge for the upcoming one-day internationals against Australia.
