Anil Kumble RESIGNED !!!!

Anil Kumble, who on Monday resigned from his position as National Cricket Academy chairman, said he left because his proposals were repeatedly ignored by the BCCI and the others.

'Had to resign as I was not heard'

"I had a three-year vision to make NCA better. I had made 10 presentations during my tenure as chairman with the hope that my vision could be accepted. Even on Sunday, I had discussed this at the NCA meeting in Chennai. But it was not in alignment with the rest of the committee," Kumble said.

"I felt that it made no sense to be a chairman when I was not being heard. I had no other option but to move on in life," he added.

The 41-year-old former spinner hoped to work for the better of cricket in his capacity as the president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

"As president of the KSCA, I can take decisions in the interest of the game and cricketers. I will do whatever best I can do in this regard," said Kumble.

Kumble tendered his resignation from the chairmanship of the National Cricket Academy, almost two months after a controversy broke out over an appararent conflict of interest.

Kumble's resignation has been accepted by the BCCI's Working Committee, which met in New Delhi. Punjab Cricket Association's general secretary, M P Pandove, will be the care-taker chairman of the NCA till a full-time appointment is made.
