Manchester City wide man James Milner reckoned that Arsenal will face the wrath of the Citizens following their 2-1 reverse to Chelsea on Monday.
Roberto Mancini's charges will tackle the Gunners at Etihad Stadium this weekend as they look to make amends following their maiden league defeat of the season at Stamford Bridge.
Monday's proceedings reduced their lead at the top of the standings to just two points ahead of Manchester United but Milner is confident that his side will bounce back on Sunday.
In article from The Sun, he said, "We are pretty devastated but it adds even more incentive for us to bounce back from this disappointment and put it into a performance at the weekend."
"We will learn what we can from this game and move forward. We have the hunger to go and win again at the weekend."
Fullback Pablo Zabaleta admitted that Monday's defeat compounded a miserable week for City after they were also eliminated from the Champions League despite their 2-0 win over Bayern Munich.
"We're the leaders with an advantage in the table and that's important. The concerns are for our rivals," Zabaleta commented.
"The week not was positive with the Champions League and the defeat in London but now is the time for a reaction and show we want to be the champions."
"We must focus on the match against Arsenal. It is a chance for us to distance ourselves from another title rival."
City dominated the Blues for the first 25 minutes and drew first blood thanks to a Mario Balotelli effort.
However, Milner believed that City allowed Chelsea to stamp their authority on the match.
He added, "We started very well, moving it around and managed to create a few chances. But we took our foot off the gas for whatever reason."
"That gets the crowd up and they managed to ride that wave."
Milner also gave his take on defender Jose Bosingwa's blatant foul on David Silva in the box, concurring with his manager Roberto Mancini that City should have been awarded a penalty kick.
"David said it was definite. We came in at half-time and the lads have seen it on video. It's obviously a big moment," Milner rued.
